Homemade Hair Mask For Dry Hair

Summer can be tough on our hair! Sun, salt water, chlorine…it can all contribute to dry, brittle hair that needs some TLC. Most of the hair masks you purchase in a store are filled with toxic ingredients that you just don’t need in your life. Why not make a mask for your hair using ingredients you already have at home? Save yourself time, toxins AND money!

1 tbsp. Organic Coconut Oil
1 tbsp. Organic Raw Honey
Small Sauce Pan
Mixing Bowl & Spoon
Towel & Shower Cap

*If you have very long or dry hair, feel free to add a bit more of each ingredient to make yourself more.

Mix all ingredients together, and slightly warm on the stove, as applying the mask warm will intensify the effect. I recommend wetting your hair before applying, as it will make it easier to apply. Apply to hair from top to bottom, being sure to apply extra mask to the ends of the hair where most damage occurs. Wrap hair up in a bun, put on a shower cap and let it sit for 30-45 minutes. Wash your hair with regular shampoo and conditioner to remove the mask – and you’re done!
